bonding Firmenkontaktmesse

We have successfully been organizing job fairs for more than 20 years and nowadays we are the largest job fair provider in Germany. The bonding job fair (bonding Firmenkontaktmesse) offers a large inside view into many different working fields for students. It’s organized in 12 different cities at major technical universities throughout Germany. The early contact between a big amount of potential employers helps to reduce a feeling of lack of orientation for students.

Deutsche Bahn has been working successfully together with bonding. When my colleagues call me after they attended a bonding job fair they always tell me about the professional organization and the appreciative treatment by bondings. After any exchanges with bonding I am always very happy about the great new ideas they give me and also the contact with motivated and highly dedicated young people. Working together for joined goals is what makes this cooperation with bonding so special and valuable.

From the small local engineering company to the mid-range company or the big world concern – at our job fairs there are companies of any size and form who present their businesses next to each other.

At the job fair you and your company may not only promote vacant job positions, but you also have the unique chance to embed your company sustainably into the students’ heads.

Industry Night

The bonding Industry Night is an evening event where up to 30 companies have the opportunity to present themselves to students. The aim is to create an atmosphere where it possible to have an intense, personal exchange between companies and students.

Thus the number of participating students is restricted and therefore students have to register first to participate in the event.

Engineering Competition

What an engineer is made of…

…and whether students have what it takes to become one is what we would like to find out. With you. At the bonding Engineering Competition.

We are very happy that you are interested in the bonding Engineering Competition and we would like to offer you all the important information about the competition.

The idea to organize our own Engineering Competition came up in 2007. Ever since we have been organizing successful, but irregular competitions. A few years ago we set up the goal to have and annual competition with one final after the local rounds.

At the Engineering Competitions, is it is also very important for us to allow participating students and companies to get in touch and to enable companies to find the perfect intern or future employee!

Automotive Day

At the bonding Automotive Day, students have the opportunity of getting to know companies from the automotive sector from the technical perspective. This event allows you as a company to present the different areas, products or production systems, in which engineers may be working on once they started a job in the automotive sector.

At your job fair booth you may chat about possible internships for students, a career start for them in your company or also any exhibits you may have brought.

bonding Days

Just like our thematic events like our Automotive Day, we also offer action days focused on other topics such as our Sustainability Day or our Cyber Day. Topics are not limited, we generally use students’ and companies’ preferences as an orientation for our next events.

Main advantage of thematic bonding Days is that you as a company can get in direct touch with students of your preferred field since they mainly target students of a certain subject area.

European Workshop

For this event 20-25 students from different universities and countries in Europe come together to learn more about a specific academic subject, for instance automobile engineering or quality management. During the one to two weeks they visit companies, attend lectures and trainings, and learn about studying and academic life in Germany. They also gain international experience, establish contacts, improve their English, get to know different European cultures and have fun.
All of the smaller event types organized by bonding can be part of a workshop and also be open to local students, so you can take can still take part and gain knowledge in an event which is mainly conducted for students from foreign universities.

Excursions

During this one- or two- day long event you will visit a company and learn more about it on site. The personal setting enables the direct conversational exchange with the company representatives.

At first, a company representative will present the company in a short presentation and will inform about possible fields of work and action.Following this, you will be given a factory tour during which you will gain interesting insight into different departments and internal operations.

Furthermore, some companies offer trainings or case studies for you.

Fireside Chat

A Fireside Chat is a lecture and discussion event in a small group. The limited number of participants makes it personal and welcoming. The evening usually starts with a lecture, for example, about entry options in the company. Later you can talk to the company representatives in a relaxed atmosphere and clarify detailed issues in the small group.

Round Table

During this event, three to five companies working in the same sector, for example automotive industry or mecanical engineering, will present themselves together. After each company has given a very short presentation, you will be able to ask each representative specific questions. This way, you have the opportunity to directly compare the companies, their representatives and their corporate cultures.

Case Study

In a case study you will get an authentic, technical problem from the company. This problem will be worked on in small teams with the support of company representatives. Afterwards, your team will present your results, the company will present their results, and you will compare and discuss both solutions. This way, you have the chance to get a broad insight into the working process of the company and learn a lot from professional workers.

Soft Skill Trainings

The training on soft skills is a one-day event with a company representative or a professional instructor. Based on theoretical topics you can obtain and improve important key qualifications through practical exercises. Topics offered by companies are facilitation, communication, presentation and rhetoric skills.

Furthermore, you will get to know the participating company individually. As a prospective employer it is good to answer any question with regard to career expectations.

Competitions

Competitions are similar to case studies, but instead of working on a task, the teams will solve a technical problem using given materials. Creativity and efficiency are expected from the participating students.

Next to the already established Engineering Competition we also organize other competitions such as the “Hackathon” which focuses on solving a programming challenge.

Lectures

In a lecture you can talk about your company, new technologies or products and entry opportunities in your company. The lecture usually lasts between one and two hours and normally takes place in a university lecture hall. At the end of the lecture, there will be a question round.

Study Planner

The bonding study planner is an A5 calender with a ring binder. Every semester we print around 64.000 calenders in Germany and thus our bonding study planner is one the most widely used student calenders in Germany. Use the opportunity to have students see your advertisement every day for a whole semester!
Students love to use the bonding study calenders since the makers of the study planners – bonding members – are students themselves and thus they know about the needs of students.
The study planner is solely financed through your advertisements and it is free of charge for students. As a non-profit organization we calculate the advertisement prices in order to only cover the study planners’ costs.

For Students by Students

The planner is designed by bondings who are students themselves and therefore know what their fellow students want.

Sponsoring

Of course these are not the only options to advertise your company through bonding. In every local bonding group we distribute free give-aways for students whose production costs are usually covered through advertisements. Examples of give-aways include calenders or city maps. Furthermore there is the opportunity to be a sponsor at every major event and every job fair. If you are a sponsor, we will print your company logo on posters and banners. For all these local sponsoring options, please contact the local bonding group where you would be interested in becoming a partner. Of course, product sponsoring (such as ice-cream or drinks) is also possible.
